2 IVC25-102 Air Pollution Monitoring & Environmental Impact of Tropical Forest and Peatland Fire (APMEI) 2025 FTSL Environmental Engineering Dr. Adyati Pradini Yudison, ST., MT Tropical forest and peatland fires are disasters that impact the local, regional and global environment. To increase awareness and knowledge about this, FTSL offers APMEI 2021. This international virtual course is organized for Indonesia and international undergraduate students majoring in science and engineering. This course will be discussing the impact, air quality monitoring technique and analysis, emission inventory, and mitigation & adaptation related to forest peatland fire. Experienced lecturers will deliver the topic from several institutions in Indonesia and abroad. 2025-07-25 s.d 2025-08-26 2025-06-13 s.d 2025-08-14
3 IVC25-103 Integrated Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (I-WASH) 2025 FTSL Management of Water Clean Infrastructure and Sanitation Dr. Dyah Wulandari Putri, ST., MT. The course on Integrated Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (I-WASH) is designed to provide comprehensive knowledge and understanding of an approach that encompasses various interconnected aspects related to water supply, sanitation, and hygiene promotion. It focuses on addressing the interdependencies between these sectors to improve public health and well-being, in both technical and nontechnical aspects. Topic of I-WASH 2025 is WASH in Emergency Settings which is critical to prevent disease outbreaks and provide basic human dignity in limited condition. The I-WASH summer course 2024 is dedicated to equipping participants with essential knowledge and skills to address sanitation needs and vital essentials in humanitarian emergency situations. Participants will explore the unique challenges and best practices for providing effective sanitation solutions, ensuring public health, and meeting the basic needs of affected populations during crises. Through immersive simulations, case studies, and practical exercises, participants will develop the expertise required for efficient and impactful humanitarian emergency response. 2025-07-25 s.d 2025-08-26 2025-06-13 s.d 2025-07-16
4 IVC25-104 Humanitarian Engineering (HumanE) FTSL Civil Engineering Eliza Rosmaya Puri, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Institut Teknologi Bandung, is organizing an “Humanitarian Engineering Responses for Disaster Housing (HumanE)” International Virtual Course (IVC) 2025. IVC 2025 will be held on 25 July - 26 August 2025, with both online and offline settings (hybrid) for participants’ preference. Aimed at discussing and providing an understanding to higher education engineering students on how humanitarian engineering is implemented in engineering projects and activities. There will be talks on the humanitarian engineering from ethical, theory and practical perspectives, sustainability, role of engineers in disaster management and humanitarian response, followed by several aspects on its implementation in various sectors, such as geologic hazards, architectural and structural aspects, and social interface. Interactive discussion-based activities and group collaborations will help participants to envisage how humanitarian engineering could be implemented within their practice. 2025-08-12 s.d 2025-08-28 2025-06-12 s.d 2025-08-14
