SAPPD SummerCamp 2021 is a global studio that uniquely designed to enhance students’ capabilities in anticipating current issues on urban planning and design in the Global South. The course provides essential knowledge and skill utilized by planners and designers to create, research, analyse, and preparing development plans and design projects. The studio expands students’ academic and professional skills as well as enriching their ability in dealing with issues and problems raised in contemporary planning and design. SAPPD SummerCamp 2021 is part of flagship program of International Joint Studio which held annually by School of Architecture, Planning and Policy Development of ITB since 2015. The studio outputs have been widely published and have received international recognition including from World Urban Campaign in 2016, DFAT Australia via Endeavour Mobility Grant in 2016 and 2017 and ISOCARP in 2020 via Student Special Mention Award. This year, SAPPD SummerCamp 2021is hosted by Urban and Regional Planning Programs of ITB and themed Planning and Designing Cities for All with focus on elaborating targets of SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities by utilizing case studies from different parts of the world.
